2.0 - Setting Up Payments: Stripe
Congratulation on having your eKYC approved. Once your eKYC is approved you can proceed to connect a Stripe Account.
Stripe is a trusted platform for online payment and credit card processing, powering transactions for major companies like Shopify and Uber. As a Level 1 PCI Service Provider, it securely processes millions of payments daily. To streamline donations for your Raisely campaign, we highly recommend integrating Stripe.
When you log into your account please proceed to Settings on the left-hand side of the first dashboard
Proceed to the payment gateway tab
Proceed to add the Stripe section and click Connect Now. Stripe will have a form where you will need to add in some information for the organisation so we can connect your bank account. This is the standard protocol for fundraising.
To use Stripe for payment processing, you’ll need to either create a new Stripe account or connect an existing one. If you don’t already have a Stripe account, check with your Accounts department to gather the necessary details:
Your organisation’s registered name and tax identification numbers
A valid form of identification
Bank account details where donations will be deposited
Navigate to your campaign settings and go to Payments & Receipts. Under Gateway Accounts, select Connect New Account.
Choose Stripe as your payment gateway.
You’ll be redirected to Stripe Connect, where you can either log in to an existing account or sign up with your email.
Follow the setup instructions on Stripe. Once completed, you’ll be redirected back to SimplyGiving.
Your new Stripe account will now be visible under Connected Accounts. Click Save Changes to finalise the connection.
Stripe will automatically transfer donations to your bank account on a rolling basis. It also offers fraud protection and a dashboard for monitoring transactions.
With Stripe, SimplyGiving supports:
